I have many interests: reading; writing; walking; films, etc. Although I am a mature lady, I have young grandchildren who keep me on my toes. I decided to try the TEFL courses as a means to earn an income when I became unemployed, and I am hoping to set up my own small business to take on freelance work of various kinds. I love English and write both prose and poetry in an amateur way, and I feel that I might have something to offer a student from abroad who wants to learn the language. Several members of my family have married outwith the country, and I find that the extra dimension brought adds to the family dynamic. Travelling abroad has always been a passion, too, although it has been tempered by lack of resources at times, bringing up a child and
family life, in general. I have visited a number of countries and have always loved the experiences. French and German I can speak fairly well, albeit I have not used them much in recent years, with smatterings of Italian and Spanish, a few words of Japanese and Arabic and bits and pieces of several other languages picked up from television dramas.
